Running Events Aplenty This Season in Coastal Delaware

It’s time once again for the high season at the Delaware beaches, and that means tens of thousands of visitors will once again be coming to town for the summer.

The traditional Memorial Day to Labor Day summer season is always an exciting time in coastal Delaware. And this year will certainly be no different, as the area again springs to life and puts its best “welcome mat” out to visitors from throughout the mid-Atlantic.

Coastal Delaware has become known for many things over the years, in part because of the great local community that lives and works here year-round. What was once essentially a place to come and play during the warm weather months has really become a year-round destination and a great place to live.

One segment of the area that’s certainly grown by leaps and bounds over the years is the local running community. And because of the huge popularity of coastal Delaware’s running clubs and events, we typically preview what’s coming up in that realm a couple of times each year.

And that’s what we’re going to do here today. So, put your running shoes on and head out to any of the great local events featured below, most of which are held in support of worthwhile charities and organizations.

The featured events will be taking place between now and July 4 weekend at locations throughout coastal Delaware.
